SpeechStorm Continues to Expand with Opening of New Office in Scotland

Stirling Council chooses SpeechStorm hosted speech technology to measure quality of service

Glasgow, November 13th 2007 - SpeechStorm, a leading provider of speech enabled business solutions, today announced the opening of its new office in Glasgow. The office will provide a base for the company’s expanding northern sales and service delivery team, enabling them to better serve existing customers and expand into the local contact-centre market.

Since 2003, SpeechStorm has grown as an operating division of Kainos, a large IT consulting company based in Belfast. In April this year Kainos announced the launch of SpeechStorm as a separate operating division with significant plans and investment to aggressively grow the business in the UK and Ireland. With offices in Belfast and London, SpeechStorm is already established as a major provider of speech enabled business solutions to the public and private sectors. The addition of the Scottish office provides capability for increased sales effort and service delivery in the rapidly growing speech market in the UK.

Oliver Lennon, CEO of SpeechStorm commented, “We believe the timing is right for us to continue our expansion in the UK. Glasgow is already established as one of the UK’s foremost centres of excellence for the contact-centre industry and centres in Scotland are starting to focus more on speech recognition solutions as a means to increase efficiencies and improve customer service. The SpeechStorm ethos of ‘speech made easy’, combined with our assistOnDemand hosted platform and our suite of automated speech applications will continue to help customers understand, acquire and deploy useable speech solutions.”

Stirling Council is the latest customer to take advantage of an innovative SpeechStorm solution to assist in their contact-centre and introduce speech recognition to their callers. The solution enables Stirling Council to capture real-time caller information and intelligence from the caller base, providing valuable feedback on the quality of service to support their on-going commitment to quality measurement.
